Refund from company

Hi so I recently tried to purchase a TV and PS4 from a company (not sure if I'm allowed to write the names of companies on here) anyway it kept saying "Transaction failed" every time I tried it. So I tried buying the TV and PS4 separately but still got the same message. I went to my bank and they said to call the company I tried to buy the items from as on the banks system it's showing as "pending" and only THAT company can help. So I called that company and they said they have no transactions from me at all, they also told me that the bank stopped them from taking money from my account - hence why I got the transaction failed message.
I called the bank and they said it was stopped as they thought someone was doing fraud on my account...anyway they told me that "pending" transaction will be paid back into my account in a weeks time. I then told my bank I am going to buy the items from the company so they advised me to make the order then call the bank back to let them know that it was me who made the order.
So I made the order again for my TV and PS4 and then called the bank to tell them that I made the order...but the bank just didn't understand me. I then received an email from the company that I just made the order from (TV and PS4) telling me they refunded me. Why? I have no idea. The only explanation I can think of is that the bank contacted that company and maybe told them it was fraud?
Anyway all I can do now is wait until the bank and THAT company put the money back into my account. Any idea how long I have to wait and what to do if they don't give it back by a certain date?

Block text isn't easy to read.
Is your payment a "pending" payment? If so, and you have cancelled, or it hasn't gone through, the payment will be released within a few days.
If that isn't your query, a few paragraphs may help.....0 -

The first payment I kept trying was "pending" to start with but then the bank said it went through to THAT company but THAT company didn't take the money.0 -

If you tell us the company name we'll be able to advise if you've had a lucky escape.0

That's OK then.
Judging by post 5 you'll end up with no TV or PS4 but all your money back.
But if you do end up with 1 TV and PS4 and one payment out of your account, all the better.
And if you end up with 2 or more TVs and PS4s and 2 or more payments, it should be straightforward to get it all sorted once everything settles down and you know where you are.0 -
Withdraw the funds in cash and go into store to buy the foods, job done!0

Why would the OP want to buy food to the value of a TV and PS4; are you suggesting they go on some kind of binge eating to cheer themselves up
But the best way to buy the goods is to use a credit card as you get section 75 protection and any reserved funds won't hold up any of their money if it goes wrong again.0
