  • Hey,

So had another bust weekend trying to get myself settled in my Mums.

    Friday
Had my new bed delivered and someone in to fix the radiators then me & my Mum went out to try to get some stuff in for my bedroom. Managed to get bedding, throw, cushions, flowers, blind, curtain pole and new curtains - spent quite a bit but will manage to pay for it all with some refunds I am due and survey money I have coming in plus its all gorgeous!!!

    Saturday
Went shopping to try to get something for my Granny for Mothers Day, managed to pick her up a nice wee cardigan for £16 out of M&S.

    Sunday
Made my Mum breakfast then asked her what she wanted to do and she chose to clean out some cupboards, 4 cupboards later we went to see my Granny then a wee drive to Luss for some lunch.

    Was a nice wee weekend.

  • Feel like I have a never ending list of people to contact due to moving house :(

Just phoned O2 there to cancel my Mums mobile broadband cos I have transferred Sky over there.

From Wednesday I am going to try to call 2 or 3 companies a day until I get them all changed.

Also have a utility bill in my name for EON so just printed that off and will use that to get a Statutory Declaration to change my name :T:T:T

  • You've been so busy Dolly. Hope changing your name is as painless as it can be. You do sound strong.
Your mum would have loved you being there Sunday helping with the cupboards. If I tried to do that with my mum we would come to blows. So sounds like your relationship is very strong.

I started reading girl with dragon tattoo that you recommended ages ago but I felt really confused and stupid. I will persevere but it is hard to follow - or maybe I am a bit dim. Will see how I get on. xxx

  • I sure have.

Mum just phoned to say my Uncle didn't manage to finish my room today but he will be back tomorrow to do it so fingers crossed I can sleep in my new gorgeous room tomorrow night!!!

Ah I hate when I am like that with a book.

I watched the movie first which I think might have helped a bit.

  • Room is gorgeous and so cosy!

Spent my first night in there last night and didn't sleep too well cos I am still getting used to the house noises and the traffic!

Soon that will all blend into the background and I won't notice it at all.

Today I set up my engineer visit for Sky multiroom, I know this is an expense I could do without but I just love my boxsets and I would probably spend more money going to the cinema if I didn't have this. Will be getting fitted on Friday 23rd March. Also my Mum is a soap addict and watches them from about 5pm till about 9pm, cannot deal with that!

  • I would get sky if I lived with my mum. I think you need it! I'm going to get a big telly later this year. But they are expensive so need to Do some research.

If you are at home with films and box sets you're not out spending money or needing to add to wardrobe. I love box sets! Your room sounds great. Makes me think I need to sort mine out. xx
