We are the same did an extension with new kitchen and building control asked for a fan as smells were just going around the interbal.kitchen and not outside. We spoke to our builder who got the joiner back out to do this work so there is an external fan going outfrom the cooker hood funnel. Building control have now passed this for us as they are happy.i would go back to your building re this as it needs done before you will get your completion paperwork. Good luck.0

My dad did our extension for us and he’s not done building for quite a few years so out of date with it, tried calling lots of builders but no one will come out and help, so I’m trying to find out myself so my hubby can finish it but just no idea on what fan to get, Thankyou for your reply !!!128522;0

Well you could just google for a 60 litre per second kitchen extractor fan.
Something like this perhaps? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Airflow-Circular-Extractor-Bathroom-Utility/dp/B00274THNI0 -
I rang Screwfix and they said they hadn’t got them so I thought I was talking gobbledygook. So that’s a higher ls which is good I presume? And this can be attached to a pipe to our cooker hood, is that right? Sorry if my questions simple but I really didn’t know.0

That’s where I would start although if you have the handbook that came with it that may tell you what you need.
Personally, when you have finalised what you think you need, I would pop into your local building control office and check what you plan to do will satisfy them.0 -
Thankyou I will do that, thanks again for your help !!!128077;0
