Attempted burglary - inform insurers?

We have had an attempted burglary, they didn't manage to gain entry but have damaged our front door enough for us to consider replacing it. It has been reported to the police so I have a crime number. We have home insurance.

My question is - am I obliged to tell my insurer about this? If we decide not to replace the door (the damage is cosmetic) then I'm concerned that they will increase my premium for having been the target of burglars. On the other hand, I don't want to do anything that could void my insurance re any future claims. I can't see any small print that says I should report this incident. We are with AXA if that makes any difference.

Thank you
