Ignoring tickets isn't always the most sensible thing to do.

Ignoring tickets isn't always the most sensible thing to do.

Sometimes it is. And sometimes appealing while spilling out all the information they don't have is worse than ignoring.

The G24 one you can ignore. The PCM one you can ignore but you might get a claim so do your homework on that one.

EDIT YOUR POST - dont make it possible for them to work out who drove. Call them "the driver" if you need to talk about the driver.
You are the keeper.
• Don't ignore the G24 one. There was a test case recently that decided that if you over stay in a stores own car park you CAN be fined because you are potentially depriving the store of custom.
Better to approach the store with your receipt and ask them to persuade the parking operator to cancel the fine. If that doesn't work, try social media and the local press.

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences.

Parking Eye, Smart and a smaller company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (who take hundreds of these cases to court, and nearly always lose), who have also been reported to the regulatory authority.

The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind most of these companies may well be put out of business by Christmas.

If you're going to start an argument, at least get your facts straight. A private parking company may decide to try and issue an invoice - they cannot issue a fine. Fines can only be issued by genuine bodies such as the police or local council.
• What is the law now? I have been sent a letter from DCBL asking for £160. However the letter states quite clearly at the bottom “This case is not subject to High Court or Baliff action. Can anyone advise me please?
