Minster Baywatch Parking Ticket

Ok so having sprained my ankle I have had to park near work and use a Paid Parking area
Got back to my car one evening and noticed a parking ticket stuck to the window so opened it.
The car registration on the ticket is not my car reg and I do have a ticket for that day.
I photo copied the parking ticket and the ticket I had bought and appealed
Just received a reply that I need to pay the fine...
"Prominently displayed signage exists throughout the car park stipulating that all vehicles must clearly
display a valid Pay & Display ticket when using the facility. Unfortunately your vehicle was not clearly
displaying a valid ticket when this Charge was issued. It is the driver's responsibility to ensure a valid
Pay & Display ticket is both clearly and securely on display before leaving their vehicle."
Can I ignore the ticket (or write back saying I will not pay as the ticket does not have the correct car reg on it ?)
The issue seems to be the displaying of the ticket ? Seems harsh to buy a ticket...not sure if it was displayed or not as by the time I noticed the parking ticket I had put it in the cup holder where I put all my tickets
Any advice greatfully accepted
Cheers

Was the VRN on the PCN similar to that on your car?You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

Have you had a POPLA Code with the rejection of your appeal?
If so, construct a draft using the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #3 examples as well as doing a forum search on 'Minster POPLA' to find other recent examples.
Put your draft together and let us see it for fine tuning.
The other thing you should do is go to the MB website as if to pay your ticket and enter your correct VRM and see if it comes up with any record. If no re ord exists, screenshot that page for possible use later. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

My car reg start with NJ57...the one on the ticket started with AX06, the last 3 letters did not match either. I had already sent the initial appeal before finding this site. I asked then for the photos..I have those showing my car and no ticket...don't know what had happened must have fallen off the dashboard when closing the door. I have only been using the car park because I sprained my ankle and could not walk very far0

So you appealed a PCN that was for another car? Does the rejection letter still talk about that other car, not yours, in the headings on their reply, or have they swapped it to your VRN now?Got back to my car one evening and noticed a parking ticket stuck to the window so opened it.

How did you then get photos of the right car, did you give them your VRN when appealing?
Should be easy to win at POPLA by showing no NTD was served that had your VRN on, plus the usual POPLA templates we hope you've already seen, in post #3 of the NEWBIES thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

This seems obvious to me. Another motorist has got a ticket. Didn't like it and stuck it on your windscreen. Now you seem to have muddied the waters by contacting the PPC so they may come after you now.
Suggest you now make that scenario to the PPC. or save it for court.0
