You need as many appeal points as you can get that are applicable to you

Thats the most sensible course of action. POPLA only has to agree with ONE of them and you are fine.

Why don't you just tell them the truth? You didn't think there would be anyone enforcing the charge, and you think you have a right to park on someone else's property without paying?

Firstly everything in that appeal is the truth. Never, ever, ever tell porkies to try and get off.

Secondly POPLA don't consider mitigation, which is what that is.
  • I'm quite respectful of parking rules, thanks. Having parked there many many times before and having not seen any signs or warnings (day or night) then I don't think it's fair to be fined £100 to park in an empty car park that is for all intents and purposes, free.
  • I'll have a look to see if any other points might apply to me from the forum but do I need to attach any of the correspondence from the parking firm?

Do I have to upload all the previous letters and my initial appeal to Britannia?

Nope. Your POPLA appeal PDF is your ONLY attachment, uploaded under 'OTHER' (only).

Have a look at the recent POPLA wins v Britannia, posted in the obvious sticky thread (not the NEWBIES thread).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
