I purchase a blackberry keyone last July. Love the phone however. The screen has a common issue. It simply detaches from the phone over a few months use. I called blackberry and they said they would replace the phone with a refurbished phone free of charge.
When I bought the phone I didnt think for one second I would be buying a product that in a few months of using would then turn into a refurb phone.
I did ask for discount towards a higher model the black edition.
They also want to take my broken phone when I receive the replacement. I said I would keep it for a back up.
So I am wondering what my rights are. Should I be able to keep my broken one, should the replacement be a brand new phone, or even an upgraded one (possibly at a discounted rate) or do I have to send my broken one back for them to fix and then hand to the next person who needs a refurbed replacement.
The screen popping out is a known problem on the first batch which mine is and blackberry have noticed this fault.

Surely the key word is "replacement". They send new a new phone as a "replacement" for the other phone, which you then send back. Not sure how you can expect to keep both of them.0

You're not entitled to a brand new phone so give up on that. And expecting to keep the old phone is just taking the mickey. If you want to continue to try for a discount on a more expensive model that's about the only part of your post that might work.0
