Morning all,I noticed I had not seen Judi posting hope she is OK.
Im fine thanks, just giving MSE a wide berth whilst all this password fiasco was going on as it was annoying me. I am also having a few problems with my eyesight too. Just the usual OMD but its getting worse. I havent told anyone that and its hard admitting it even to myself. Messaging on my phone is hard these days too.
Busy weekend.
Friday, lets think... Friday was quiet though i saw prodigal and gave him the contents of my fridge... cant see him go hungry and he is not allowed to come on weekends because Grump doesnt want to see him till he is sorted out.
I had my Grandson for a sleepover on Saturday. He bought a game to play called Pie Face. It involved lots of cream and a willing participant to get splatted. He'd had it since Christmas but was unopened. Apparently Mommy and Daddy didnt want to get splatted so he thought he would try us instead. :rotfl:
I've been falling over boxes and stuff Grump bought back the weekend. Projects he wants to get stuck into but never will. Wouldnt be so bad if he's dumped them in the shed till he gets round to doing them (never) but he was too ill to take them down the shed. I must get Youngest to take them down later cause i am sick of looking at them. I see things very black and white these days. As i keep telling him, the sheds are an extension of the house and not the other way round. They have to go down the shed.
Lovely to see eldest posting on Facebook again. He looks well. He is posting lots of selfies and its so weird to see the face of my ex staring back at me. I showed Grump a picture he had posted and even he was shocked as to how much he looked like my ex. Eldest is deep in the throws of detox. He is doing well and his friends are supportive. Now i see what alcohol can do, i'll never have any in the house again.... not that i have any anyway.
Youngest went out the weekend and got hammered. He's still counting the cost. He got yelled at yesterday when i found a sick covered coat in his wardrobe. He recons his guts will never be the same.
Waiting for the 'Blonde One' to bring Livewire. I am looking after him most of the week as its half term and she is at work. He's a lovely little boy and i'm so proud of him.
Think thats it for now, sending love to you all, i'll catch up with your news during the day.
Onwards and forwards,
have a great day all. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Good morning ladies,
Been a little bit hectic lately, which is why I've been absent.
Long day today as I've an event tonight in which we're hosting clients. Won't get paid overtime and will have to pay for parking - but it's gotta be done.
Oh, and, you may remember on Friday I had a telephone interview - well I got through and I've to travel down to Manchester on Thursday for the final stage!! Super excited.
My only hesitation about making the move is this. My stepbrother, his wife and their 6 month old are leaving to emigrate to South Korea later this week, and I've seen the effect that this has had on everyone. Am I being selfish to move away from my mum and my gran? Of course, I expect I'll travel up perhaps every 2nd or 3rd weekend, but still, it's a fair jaunt.
I'd appreciate your thought's.
HH - Hope all goes well today
RedRuby - Sounds wonderful!! I too can't wait to see some consistent sunshine.0 -
Morning everyone,
So sorry to hear the news JackieO that poor little family dealing with a double loss.
It’s raining here, it did all day yesterday as well but keep thinking it will make the flowers grow all the quicker, lots of the daffodils are showing up and green already, smashing.
Lulu has a schooling lesson today, hopefully we won’t get too wet and must remember to take an old towel for my tack. Other than that not a lot planned, if it clears up a bit will take little dog around the fields.
Hugs to all our poorlies and those with worries, have a good day folks x0 -
Morning all
Thanks for the thread ILC and hugs to all those in need.
CHS has been dropped at work and the WM is chugging away, boat cleaning today and a bit of me time this afternoon.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0 -
Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
Drs for a blood test, looks like I am going to have quite a few in the next few weeks, have an appointment to go for the results 5th March.
Bright but very cold morning. OH will be nagging to go out. I need to recover from getting to the surgery at 8.15 first. Washing machine is on with a load of whites, think they will be going in the dryer, the grass is so wet the water comes up over the soles of my clogs.
We were back to slow eating picky again last night, although he had what he asked for on his plate. Mince out to cook tonight, mince and tatties requested. I spoke to the Dr about his medication last night and he has dropped one of his tablets. If he starts with another vertigo attack he has to start them again. The headache seems to be reasonably under control.0 -

Go for it. Plan for the future and its not that you will be a million miles away from your Mum and your Gran. You will still see them but not as often.
Youngest says he wants to work abroad when he is qualified. I'm dreading it as i'll miss him dreadfully but he has to do whats right for him and not for me. Jackie O How sad for you all gentle hugs for all of you
Speky go for it your mum and Gran must be so proud of you
Ruby sounds lovely we stopped at the Greek Islands on a cruise last year and would defiantly like to return
Hugs to all who need them and extra strength to those who need a little extra
Have a great day stay warm and dry x0 -
Trying my hardest to avoid housework by doing paperwork, reading up for an Art Group I belong to and taking plant cuttings! Must have coffee and at least clean the conservatory.
Jackie, sorry to hear the sad news it has not been an easy time for you and your family.
Ruby, the Greek Isles are fab I am sure you will have a lovely time.0 -
Judi, good news about your eldest, less so about youngest and the coat. Having typed that it sounds a bit harsh but I do have difficulty with vomit, if I smell it, I do it.
Speky, I bet your mum and gran want you to make the best of any opportunities that present. Of course they will miss you, but have you explored the possibility of flying back up? When I've had jobs to do in Scotland, I've flown, you save a lot of time, petrol for the car is expensive and all that motorway stuff is wear and tear too.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
I'm ok thanks. Just busy sorting the house out. Yesterday I totally rearranged the kitchen. Things I don't use much are now in the harder to reach cupboards and the things I use most are in the pantry. I've been helping my friend a lot with her uni assignments and also been visiting my friend who did not quite reach her 5 year cancer remission point.
I've had my hair cut from almost waist length to very short so I have to spend 15 minutes sorting it out in the morning instead of just tying it in a ponytail. It was just too heavy and My hands and shoulders hurt too much to be able to do anything artistic with long hair. This is much more manageable.
The hole in my leg is now the size of a 10p coin instead of the size of the top of a 400g tin. The nurse in the doctors calls me her miracle patient because it shouldn't have healed this fast without compression bandages. I have followed the advice of my friend who used to be a nurse though. He said extra vit C and lots of protein and I've tried to do that as much as possible. I've also been promoted to smaller dressings which is more comfortable.
Take care all of you.0
