Pixelating picture on some not all sky channels

One of our sky boxes (the multi room one not the main box) is playing up on at least bbc1, bbc1 hd, bbc 2 and itv but not on the sky channels themselves though of course they are all coming down the same feed. The picture is pixelating and freezing. Sky have said it looks like a box issue not dish and will cost "x" amount to come out blah blah. However when we swapped the so called faulty box for an old box and paired the card to it the replacement box is doing the same thing on the same channels. Why would just some channels be being affected? Any idea what it might be?
The main sky box in a different room is not doing this at all. Any thoughts? Thanks.

The channels are broadcast in groups although I can't remember what the groupings are, check the signal strength in settings when on different channels.0

Make sure all the connections to the box are firm and tight and examine the condition of the cables. Check there is no water ingress at or close to the LNB.0 -

Damn, I missed this bit at the end entirely.
As said above (by someone who read your entire post) it could be the LNB at the end of the dish or the wiring, you've ruled out the box itself so that only leaves the two options.
Edit: That said check the signal strength in settings on both the main box and this one.0 -

Of course but if the main box is new(ish) and the two others old ones it could also be that the newer box is just better at resolving a poor signal. It's not going to cost money for them to check.0
