Parking fine with permit visible

Just wondering if anyone could help me with some advice if they have been through a similar thing.

On Saturday, I recieved a parking fine at my lease hold flat with our private parking area enforced by UKPC.
I had the permit on the dash, which is in 2 of the photos the parking attendant has taken, but he still gave me a ticket. He would have seen my ticket as he put The ticket on my windscreen. I am in the process of making an appeal.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

No you are not, because you are on this forum, need to read the NEWBIES thread, and it's not day 26 yet. Please no asking where the NEWBIES FAQS thread is or why wait till day 26.

Why have residents agreed to this 'outrageous scam' (Hansard) to let ex-clampers loose here?

odds on, nothing you have a pre existing right to park with out a permit
    From the Plain Language Commission:

  • Yes, I've lived her for 16months now and no ticket. They come around regularly and I specifically make sure I stay within the parking space. The pass is where i always have it and have not received a ticket before.

    The Deep

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences.

Parking Eye, Smart and a smaller company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Lega;, (who take hundreds of these cases to court, and nearly always lose), who have also been reported to the regulatory authority.

The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind most of these companies may well be put out of business by Christmas.

    good luck

  • shooting a UKPC employee whilst trespassing on your land is acceptable of the 3rd friday of every month
  • We don't have designated spaces but the people who own the land/flats said we needed permits. They then hired UKPC to regulate the parking as others were parking here to go to the nearby train station.
They come around often and as stated this is my first fine in 16 months living here. I'll upload a photo of the ticket and permit tomorrow.

I'd rather have strangers parking for the train station than UKPC infesting my home location.

Anyway, you are not appealing just yet, as you'll have learnt (we hope) from the NEWBIES thread. Day 26 online as keeper, using the template there. Reasons all explained in the sticky.

    GET ANGRY ABOUT THIS TREATMENT.

Have you watched the Parliamentary debate from 2 weeks ago unanimously condemning this?

Complain to your MP to make sure they are on board with their MP counterparts in condemning the industry and ensuring a Bill has teeth to stop the worse rip-off trash.
