I wouldn't consider a Fire Stick a replacement for 'live broadcast TV' - I think Freesat, which can include catch up stuff, is the best option in the absence of Freeview.

So am I able to watch "live" TV with a fire stick, can I access BBC 1, ITV and so on as the programm is actually aired?
And I wont be using Prime or Nerflix.

If your not using prime then you really should look at something other than a fire stick.

You can use the TV Player app to watch the usual channels live for free (SD only). You can also chose to pay for some extra content.

(don't get it from there. Search for it on your device)

I have just retired a Fire stick due to the YouTube spat between Google and Amazon. Being able to cast YouTube to big screen TV via a single tap on the phone app (my non techie wife loves this method) was essential. Very pleased with the £29 Roku Express stick, its my 2nd Roku streamer in the house, ironically bought on Amazon.

The Roku Express stick is lightning fast and easy to navigate compared to the Fire stick.

Note: I tested side loading the YouTube app onto the Fire stick. It worked quite well but doesnt play so nicely when casting from the YouTube phone app with multiple TVs. You have to reconnect the TV in YouTube phone app settings from time to time.

Ok, for what I want something like freesat is a good option.
    Thanks for the advice.
