Many thanks to zippy for all her efforts over the years and thank you to elsiepac for taking us on!

I don't post too often but I read regularly and I maintain my systems - over 7 years doing this now!

I am nestling at £349.12 over the first two months of the year, against my annual budget of £3,500. It looks a generous budget at this stage, but we have planned a BBQ for August bank holiday weekend for over 100 people so maybe not. I will budget separately for drinks and meat but salads and hot foods like lasagne and chilli for those staying over will be out of this budget.
    Save £12k in 2025 #2 I saved £14,660.97 of £6000 or 244.35% of my target. The 2026 Save £12k in 2026 thread is here
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I finished the year at £2880.99/£3000 or 96.03% of my annual spend so I am sticking with a £3000 annual budget for 2026

  • Please sign me up with a budget of £200.

This is for a two person household. I know that is quite a large sum but I shop at Costco once a month, as I like to fill our freezer for any emergencies.

While I will not finish February until Thursday, please put me down for my usual £120 for March. (February has 93p remaining in the pot.)

    Thx

  • Selloptape,

I know the feeling! It’s not the weekly shops that are a problem for me - it’s the little trips for fizzy pop etc that cause all the problems.

I am going to pay my groceries with cash this month and leave the bank card at home!
