White strobe lamps in front grill?

A few cyclists seem to have only a horribly bright strobe light. I find visually tracking just a strobe light much harder than a steady one, or a combination of steady & flashing lights. It's just a horrid distracting flashy thing.
Personally I go for flashing on quiet roads, steady (and very bright) in the dark, and strobe in heavy traffic. The steady light is always angled so that it doesn't dazzle anyone. If someone is piloting two tonnes of metal in my direction, the last thing I want to do is blind them.If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.0 -
Seems to be legal for Cyclists to have flashing white lights judging by the number in use
it is well known that it is legal for cyclists to ride without lights, ignore traffic lights and ride on the pavement :rotfl:"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Spend 10 seconds on youtube and you'll see plenty of dashcam clip shows that prove far more cars do it. I see more drivers jumping red lights (and speeding up to try and get through on amber, which is also banned) than cyclists on my commute and I know which I'd rather be hit bySam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
