Jeff Garlin (who plays Larry David’s manager on Curb Your Enthusiasm) directs this document of cult film-maker John Waters performing his one-man show in front of a New York audience. The director, whose career has spanned outrageous lo-fi Pink Flamingos to slicker Serial Mom and the original Hairspray, offers comic riffs on his earliest influences, career highlights and current battles with the mainstream. Digressions include such topics as what to wear when about to be electrocuted.
