  • I would get a bus Card as well. they are money saving.

If you are going up to Arroyo ( where the station, normal shops, cable car etc. are ) then it's a steep hill and buses are best.

I would do a trip on the service bus to Mijas and a trip to Malaga on the train,
    both inexpensive.

If you decide to go to Gibraltar then do a cheap trip, you need to go up by Cable Car to see the Apes and get the view across to North Africa, but if you don't want to do that you can sit in the Gardens at the base of the ride.

Gibraltar is easy to navigate, just go through the city gate and keep walking you will come to the Cable Car after the shops. Oh and don't show any Apes food they will steal it from you.

Also you can spend £ in Gibraltar, but if you get any notes in change ask for British £
If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.

  • Been going for years and didn't know about this card. The buses are cheap and frequent, so will definitely look into this, thanks.

You don't need to take the cable car to see the apes, there is a tour of the caves, which is excellent, and you go up in a little mini bus, the apes were climbing all over the bus when we stopped. :-)
  • Have you sorted out free EHIC cards for each traveller?

I have to admit I have sat on a bench in the small Trafalgar cemetery ( before you get to the Cable Car ) and the apes come down there looking for handouts..

If you like Chinese, there's a good one (IMO) just across the road, can't remember name.

It's worth a trip to Marbella to have a drink and snack at the marina to see how the other half live.
  • Juby I hope you have bought your travel insurance, if not buy it now.

Look at the travel insurance guide on MSE and see if you can buy what you choose through Quidco or TopCashBack.

BTW Does your holiday include transfers?

Ive mentioned marbella to OH. Hes not keen visiting as hes not into the whole celeb scene. I wanted to go to see if i can spot anyone famous.:rotfl:

We are not huge chinese food fans, if we are its just special fried rice im afraid so i doubt its worth going to a restaurant.
  • Juby Good but in future look at buying your own insurance as it will normally be cheaper and as the ad. says ' Every little helps '
