The Money Club

Looking for help to do with The Money Club, my grandmother appears to have signed up with them for a 1x yearly direct debit of £98 since 2014 however since June/July of 2017 they've started taking payments of £98 a month, I've only just managed to sort her online banking out to start helping with her direct debits as she was struggling badly to make ends meet.. Now I understand why! I've cancelled the direct debit for obvious reasons, I wanted to know what ground we stand on for claiming back the money and if it's even possible? and where to start?! even taking into consideration the £98 they should be taking per year, she should still be refunded around £1000+
Any help would be really helpful as I'm losing sleep over it! Thank you.

Look at the Direct Debit Guarantee.
Particularly this bit:Direct Debit Guarantee
The Guarantee is offered by all banks and building societies that accept instructions to pay Direct Debits
If an error is made in the payment of your Direct Debit, by the organisation or your bank or building society, you are entitled to a full and immediate refund of the amount paid from your bank or building society
You would also be wise to check the full terms that grandmother agreed to.
Have you asked The Money Club what's going on?0 -
Plenty of previous posts going back years, your gran is not the first to fall victim to these scammers.0
