Leasing: Maintence vs Manufacturer Warranty
Hi,
I have recently had some new tyres fitted on my leased car (Audi A1). I called my leasing company who I have the maintenance package with who then sent me to Audi. My problem is that as it is a new car under the Audi warranty I am entitled to new tyres without needing the maintenance package with my leasing company. I read through Audis warranty and everything I am covered for by the maintenance package I am covered for already with Audi. The package is £20 per month, so £960 over the term of the lease.
Does anyone else who leases their car have any experience with this or asked the same question?
Thanks in advance.

Eh? Tyres and consumables aren't covered by Manufacturers warranty.
Where does it say tyres are covered? That would be open to huge abuse by the likes of me.
How many miles is the lease for? 80k mile lease then you might change all 4 tyres, perhaps pads once, but won't cost any where near £960 from a local VAT reg garage, and if 10k a year then you might not even need to change a wiper blade.0 -

No you're not, it doesn't cover consumables such as tyres. It also doesn't cover worn brake pads, discs, clutch, washer fluid. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
