5th time lucky? Please....

Hi al,

After our 4th "sale" falling through before exchange, never our property involved, lower down the chain, we have accepted and had a bid accepted on a property. I pray we get it to exchange this time. Having had our previous chain fall through @ 11 weeks, we decided to go back on the market Thursday night. By Thursday, 5pm we had accepted an offer! Yesterday we managed to get an offer accepted on a property that was marketed well above our budget but because our buyer is 95% "cash" our offer was accepted!

Not sure me and my partner can handle this process another time...but here we go, ID and solicitors to be sorted tomw...

And it begins...

95% cash seems a bit odd, where's the other 5% coming from?

Doubt lenders will be interested in a 5% mortgage.

Took us 4 attempts to buy, 3 times the sellers pulled out and decided not to sell or move and we were cash buyers.

It took us 16 months to sell in 2008 Crash, with 3 pull outs and an eventual drop of 16% in price.

In comparision, you're scarcely out of the starting blocks.

But life is what you make it, and if you have your health and a good relationship, this can just be a blip.

Depends how much the 5% is. A quick scan shows Halifax, for example, is minimum £10K.
