Spare parts discountinued well before purchase

Hi.

I purchased a Remington face brush and body brush set from Sainsburys, at a discounted price of about £46 last week.

I have now realised that Remington recommend replacing the brush heads every 3months, but from people’s reviews online they stopped making them over a year ago. I contacted Remington and they confirmed parts not available for facial brush and didn’t even comment on the body brush. Gave me no recommendations for where to obtain them from an authorized seller.

Boots still sell the facial brush at full price (£72!) same model number.

Is this legal?

Take it back to Sainsbury's and tell them it's faulty for full refund;)

There seem to be plenty of replacements on ebay.

Research, research, research or see a bargain and grab it before doing any. If something's suddenly discounted there's usually a very good reason.

I complained to Remington and it seems there is internal confusion if the parts are discontinued or not. The person I am currently emailing seems to think they are still available but didnt provide me with price etc. if they are available Im not sure why they didnt bother correcting reviews people left regarding it in their own website. This people would have thrown them out and wasted their £££ :-(
