Can't offer you advice myself but I did spot that The Escape Artist offers coaching sessions which could help your son. He says
I provide education, tuition and support to people who gain confidence making their own decisions. I don’t provide regulated investment advice or recommendations or hold client money. Rather, I give you the tools to make your own decisions.
I like the idea of helping kids to learn the skills to make his own decisions and, with his having money at such a young age, this would give your son some guidance from someone who is not family. His hourly rates look reasonable.
