What the OP is looking for is to build up a "loan" on a 0% credit card.

You are unlikely to do it all in one go.

But we could easilly. Between us we spend probably £1500 per month just in normal spending on CC's and pay it all off at the end of the month so never any interest.

So it would be quite easy for us to take out a 0% card, and use that to pay off the normal cards each month by credit transfer. you usually get a 3 month window to do 0% credit transfers, so we could quite comfortably build up a £5K 0% loan with little or no effort. If we put out minds to it and spent more on the normal cards we could probably accumulate more 0% loan.

You need to plan this in advance so you have the cash ready when you need it. As already stated, you can't just "buy" part of the house with a 0% card.
