Hi,
I just applied and was accepted for a sainsbury 31 month 0%. Smallish 3000 limit, that's fine, more than Im going to use it for etc.
My query, I applied using my bank account details for an account that will be switched on Wednesday (make use of a switching offer) its still my only account other than the new one which il use from Wed so thought I should use those details.
Should I not have done this given by the time the paperwork comes out to sign and recieve the card the account will be closed or can I simply get in touch and say payments should be taken from the new account.
Thanks for any info

If you were giving the bank account details for the credit check, it shouldn't matter now as you have passed it.
If you were giving the details for the direct debit, just ring them and change the details.0 -
I just applied for this credit card as well also with a £3k limit. Applied on Sunday and paperwork arrived to sign on Friday. Like previous post says it shouldn't matter that you gave bank details in the application that are no longer going to be correct as this is just for your credit check and that bank account will still show on your credit file.
When your paperwork comes out it will come with a direct debit form so if you want to set up a direct debit you can do so using your new bank account details at this stage.
I didn't get told what my credit limit was going to be for this card until I received the paperwork.0 -
Great thanks for the replies.
When I applied it just said successful with a credit limit of "around 3000" so the figure may be different when it arrives. Have another with £6500 limit with a small balance that can be cleared anytime but il let it run to the end of the 0%.
Just using this for a long 0% to pay for a short break and to start gathering nectar points and try and get something back for the money I spend every month anyway.
Thanks again0 -
Remember to set up a direct debit payment.0
