Annual family travel insurance

On a family policy would a child still be covered even if the parents weren't on the trip and if the child turned 18 half way through the policy would they need a still be covered

My annual travel policy only covers children if they are travelling WITH us so IMO they would not be covered and need to arrange their own cover.
(But I haven't read your policy document so I could be 100% wrong - my annual policy is with Lloyds Bank)0 -
