Energy Suppliers that deal with two MPAN numbers

Dear MoneySavingExperts
My father is trying to switch his energy supplier, but has hit a snag which I'm hoping someone here might be able to help with.
He lives in an old property with two metres and two MPAN numbers. His current provider, NPower, has a computer system configured to deal with such a situation and he provides readings from both metres.
He didn't think this was a problem until he tried to switch. Having initially signed him up, Eon cancelled his contract after learning he had two MPAN numbers.
Now he seems stuck.
While we try to resolve the matter, I have a couple of questions:
Does anybody with two MPAN numbers have experience switching providers? How did you do it?
Can anyone recommend a provider that accepts two MPAN numbers (other than NPower, obviously)?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
Kind regards
Mark
