Hi all
Just received my 'final settlement letter' and they have kindly reduced from £160 to £136. This is before their client (UKPC) will take court action. Can anyone confirm how I should proceed as I really do not want to pay up to this low life company. I did try to appeal my ticket but was out of the time they give me to appeal As I kind of forgot about it.
Thanks in advance for your help and if you need anymore info from me please ask!
Best regards,
Brad

Ignore it - read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #4 about debt collectors. If UKPC issue court papers, deal with them then, with help from here.
Ordinarily UKPC are only litigious where someone has racked up multiple tickets running into high hundreds/thousands of pounds.
DRP are powerless - they can only write letters. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

UKPC are frausters, read this

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences.
Parking Eye, Smart and a smaller company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, who take hundreds of these cases to court, who have also been reported to the regulatory authority.
The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

No need for any advice or we'd be repeating ourselves, as we have for a decade.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
