esa50 completed for reassessment but heard nothing

I completed my esa50 for reassessment last july but had no reply or f2f date. is this normal? seems an awful long time to wait, I'm constantly looking for brown envelope to arrive.

    Some are waiting a year. I'd advice you to ring the assessment providers to ask how much longer you have to wait. Backlogs in a lot of areas are huge. Also as it's a re-assessment they could have already made a decision and kept you in the group you're already in. Ring DWP to ask.

    Assuming you are still receiving your ESA payments, the alternative is to do nothing. If you hadn't returned the form it would have been flagged by now and you would either have been contacted or your benefit would have stopped.
    The only reason to chase it is if you are on Contribution only claim where benefit will cease after 52 weeks unless you are placed in the Support Group.
    If you are claiming Income Related benefit your payment will continue anyway and if you are later put into the Support Group the additional payment will be backdated. There is no additional payment any more if you are put into the WRAG.
  • My social worker sent my esa50 back last June. Only had the medical last Wednesday.
