I booked flights to Manila during the week. I'm flying out on 14/11 and returning 30/11 and am after any tips.
I won't book a great deal up before I go as that's the way I like my holidays and it works very well for me. I'm also half expecting a mate to join me so can't book anything until he's decided anyway.
My early thoughts are:
Fly to El Nido and spend a few days relaxing there. I am due to land in Manila at 22:30 so might stay in an airport hotel and fly back out the next day.
Travel down to Puerto Princesa and explore that area.
Fly to Northern Luzon (almost certainly via Manila) and spend the best part of a week up there
A couple of days in Manila before flying home.

If you are into that sort of thing - Manila is the original home of San Miguel lager, no doubt they will offer brewery tours.0

Thanks. I always take a look at the fco page before booking. This one paints a bleak picture at times but I’m avoiding the areas highlighted and will be vigilant. Famous last words and all that but in all my travels I’ve only had one minor issue and that was an attempted pickpocketing in Addis Ababa which had no ill effects.0
