If he is ready to seek help (and he has to want to) then I would recomend making contact with GAM care - national charity who help people with gambling problems.
They have a 24 hour counselling helpline and can also out you in toich with face to face speialist counsellors free of charge all over the country. They have really helped my partner - but he has to want to do it himself you can't make somebody. They will also give support and advice to family and friends of gamblers.

My marbles card statement has a clause on the back:
"If a transaction is showing on your statement which you believe is incorrect, please notify us within 30 days of your statement date
Due to the costs involved there is a charge of £5 if after investigation, the purchase is genuine."
That's £5 per transaction. This person could find themselves a lot more in debt if their c/card provider decides to add £5 per transaction to every one he claims is fraudulent. Not to mention the fraud element of this whole crazy scheme.....................0
