Mortgage issues help !!!128553;

Recently put an application in with natwest through a broker, theyve come back and said something has flagged up on my check from years ago when i hsd an account with natwest, we're talking atleast 8 years plus, back when all the bank charges got out of hand, then added charge after charge as one charge took me over my overdraft which then occured more charges and so on, they said they need to look into it, has anyone else had similar?
Thanks

    NatWest internal markers remain forever and only come to light fairly late in the process.

    Why was the fault theirs, did they spend the money in your account? If you were using your overdraft, that is to all intents a loan that in your case was not paid.
  • I was using the overdraft yes, they added the charge which took me over that, they then continued to charge me till it had took me way over my agreed overdraft, i then paid a large amount in charges back to bring me back into my agreed overdraft and they didnt tell me a charge was due and it all started again, i then split with my partner and had to move out so i went to a debt management company, who everyone was paid, again this was 8 to 10 years ago before charges were regulated, i assumed it was settled as it isnt on any of my credit reports
