How long does bankers draft last for before depositing to bank account?

Cheques generally have a life of 6 months and I would expect a banker's draft (if such a thing even exists these days) to be the same.

I agree.
If the one you have is older than 6 months you will need to ask the person who gave you the cheque to get a new one issued.
Depending on the amount I would try to credit it to my bank account to see if it gets paid.

They may do, but I can't see much reason for anyone to require one these days.
