    Sorry for your loss.

The executor of the estate has the legal right to continue with the complaints if already in progress.
I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.
  • Sorry to hear of your loss. At this stage, as above, the exectuor of the state will need to be confirmed. PPI complaints can still be looked into after the exectuor has been confirmed. After that, you can write letters to the banks as the exectuor.

Do not use a CMC would be my advice.

What products (cards/loans/joint mortgages/overdrafts) did your wife have?

    Again, my deepest condolences.
  • I have already got a claim in for myself with fcasltd, and have been wondering if I can put one in for my late wife as well.
I am the executor as there is no will or estate and she had credit cards and bank accounts ( who I must say have been very understanding in my dealings with them )
Any help would be much appreciated

If you contact the financial institutions concerned, they'll tell you what documentation they'll require from you (probate?) in order to proceed with a complaint on behalf of your late wife.

Do not use a claim management company because they'll take a huge proportion of any redress you are awarded (plus VAT). You can do this yourself very simply and for free.

Remember that all of your complaints will need to focus only on factual reasons for mis-sale. You won't be able to complain about anything that may have been said at the time unless you were present.

Good luck and here's hoping you can maximise the amount you get back by not employing a third party this time..
