Hi,
I have just set up a mule account with Barclays to allow me to switch bank accounts without losing my main First Direct account.
How long do I need to wait to transfer this now to a new account with an incentive? Do I need to have used teh Barclays account at all (apart from some small direct debits which I will have to set up)
Thanks,

Most switch applications ask you for the debit card number of the account you're switching, so if your Barclays account has one, you'll need to wait until it arrives. Otherwise, as soon as the donor (much better word than mule;)) account has the requisite DDs, SOs or whatever, set up, you're good to go.0 -
Thanks. I picked up the word mule from here! I will use donor from now on :-)0

MSE should really not be using this term when they mean donor account.0 -
