National Hunter is something that I've referred to in several posts and is important if the companies you've applied to shares data with them. National Hunter itself refers to the prevention of application fraud which is principally the comparison of income, address, telephone number, etc. In short what we might refer to as employment and personal data. If a recent credit application is different in those respects when comparing past applications you are likely to be rejected or have to submit documentary proof due to suspected application fraud.
