Ebay Item not yet paid for!! Advice needed Please

Hi everyone, I am after some advice.

I sold an item on ebay the listing ended on 16th Oct. I state on my listings that payment is to be made within 3 days ( have been kept waiting several times before) well this person has not paid and when i contacted them yesterday they were appologetic and said payment would be recieved last night, still no payment and no further response. I tried to mark as payment not recieved and it states that I am unable to do this until 22nd Oct! I really needed the money now, it's why the item was listed and sold.

The thing is that this person has quite a few negative feedback for winning items and never paying - is there anything I can do and why do people do this.

You can try insisting on a 3 day payment time... but ebay allow 7 days, so you won't be able to enforce your rule, it's pretty pointless really.

Best you can hope for is opening a dispute when you're able to. If you go on to give them a NPB strike it may help them get kicked off ebay if they're a repeat offender.

If your in this position again sell the item on BIN with Immediate Payment Required ticked..........easy.
