Barclays Blue Reward question

I'm scratching about looking for direct debits and have just read the T&C's of Barclays Blue Reward:-
"We’ll give you £3.50 cashback monthly for your first 2 Direct Debit payments. You’re eligible if you pay in at least £800 to your account and pay the £3 fee each month."
As far as I can see the T&C and summary don't say that the dd's need to be different.
Has anyone had any experience of the 2 dd's coming from the same place?

Hi Sparkie,
I should think this would work fine as it is 2 direct debits. Sometimes companies would split direct debits such as gas and electricity as separate payments and this would work as 2 direct debits as oppose to one.
Hope that helpsI work in the banking industry
Any posts given on here and not to be taken as advice just simply my views on the original post.0 -
I was thinking along the lines of 2 paypal payments per month or 2 Park Christmas Club payments per month.

I have two Tesco DD which work (though different monthly mandates rather than one weekly mandate).0

I have two Tesco DD which work (though different monthly mandates rather than one weekly mandate).Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

As long as it's two separate Direct Debit Mandates you'll be fine. If both DD payments come out via the same mandate it won't count.0

obviously you will need to look for a new dd source. One of my DDs is with Tesco so I've started adding an extra £10 month into my pension via DD rather than via my pay. (I already pay the 2019 % from my pay). That way although I don't have the money in the short term it is being saved plus the tax relief will be claimed.
Yep may do two post office savers to replace the two Tesco ones.0 -
