Eligibility for HSBC Bonus

My main current account is with 1st Direct but there are others.... I was considering switching one of the others to HSBC for the bonus. BUT I am unsure whether technically I would qualify - because of my 1st account.

Naturally if I ask HSBC I am likely to get a negative answer. On the other hand my most recent switch was to M&S for the vouchers and until the process started I was unaware that M&S bank is HSBC in disguise. Luckily the vouchers arrived. This led me to think maybe my 1st Direct account will not disallow me from getting the HSBC bonus. Is anyone else in this position? Anybody know what might happen?

Having a First Direct account does not prohibit you from getting the bonus
