Personally I would switch to Iresa Energys Eco 7 rates. Regardless of night time consumption their rates are so good you would be better off on Eco 7 with them than switching to a single rate with nearly all the other suppliers. Then work on using the higher using appliances like tumble dryers , irons and electric showers in the half price cheap 7 hours.
Visit Uswitch and try inputting average usage on both Eco 7 and single rate to compare. Will be a lot cheaper than anything BG can come up with.
Going single tariff on an Eco 7 meter may not be any benefit at all with the low Eco 7 rates of some suppliers

Iresa is currently under Ofgem investigation for a longest list of alleged breaches of Licence Conditions that I have ever seen. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy. The OP needs help to find a supplier that can at least be contacted if there are any questions etc.

OP, basics please: how is the property heated and hot watered? We can't jump to the conclusion that it's got gas CH and DHW just because there is a gas supply.
Robin9, the OP does not have a dual rate meter, they only gave leccy readings from a single register. The 'Dual' in the tariff name refers to a dual fuel account.
If you are on quarterly billing, rather than monthly DD, then you are screening out the vast majority of competitive fixed tariffs, which mostly require monthly DD.
OP, you need to state how many days that billing covers, and whether estimated or actual readings.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Macman from the table that OP gave us he is quoting day and night electric registers. Agreed we do not know if its actually E7 -
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

    OK I have more info:

*British Gas cant provide historical usage figures for the property because that would breach privacy.
    *I provided meter readings
    *I pay:
    14.24 electric
    3.83 gas
    26.01 per day charge
    *heating is gas
*I am on a 1 year contract that includes a discount I think
    *£40exit fee
*I pay monthly DD. So presume this will even out over the coming months
*I don’t know what this E7 thing you’ve mentioned is

Feeling very naive so thanks for the help
  • BG wont give you the figure due to a breach of privacy.

    Oh dear, they are inept.
