No PCN attached to windscreen

Hi, advice needed.
I have received a late payment notice with a £100 charge stating that I failed to pay a PCN fine issued in December, apparently the PCN was attached to my windscreen. However, I never had the PCN, it wasn’t attached to my windscreen so I was unaware that it had been issued or of the original charge. The late payment notice states that as my payment is late and 21 days have passed since the original PCN that I can no longer appeal the charge. .
I’m not disputing that I was in the car park and I have asked the Parkng company for proof that they affixed the notice to my car which they have refused to do. How do I know that they actually issued a PCN and are not just issuing late notices for the increased amount? Shouldnt they need to prove that they issued the original PCN?

Everyone is politely asked not to start a thread until reading up on this in the newbies faq thread near the top of the forum
Go there now to understand the game you are now caught up in and how to deal with this
Throughout here you are advised never to reveal who was driving
You need to edit your post to remove details of who was driving

None of that matters. Read the NEWBIES thread before you engage with them again.
