    I used hertz for our recent trip to US and booked online and it included everything. I wasn't badgered to buy any extra insurance at all and they said any problems are covered in the price.

    Very impressed.

    so you are covered if the engine falls apart or whatever...just not if you lock the keys or leave the battery to go flat

    i wouldnt bother with it...america is loaded with garages. i once locked the keys in a renter and a company came out in minutes to help me ...cost was $30 all in
