Central London Hotel suitable for learning difficulties couple

I've been asked to assist in finding a hotel for a couple with learning difficulties on honeymoon in London next year. They are a clever, erudite pair, but unused to the independence that staying in hotel for 3 days by themselves will provide. They are not from London, but will have friends and family in London to provide urgent assistance if needed, myself included.

However, knowing how rude, surly and snappy some hotel staff can be in London, I wouldn't know where to start in finding a hotel that maybe has experience in dealing with couples / groups with learning difficulties, or intelligent, patient staff that are capable of dealing with customers who are not atypical?

I don't know where to start? Any ideas anyone?

Don't think it exists in the pure commercial hotel sector.

YHA or similar perhaps or a B&B.

I agree that YHA staff would certainly have the right mentality, but unfortunately the 'honeymoon' aspect means it would have to be a 'proper' hotel!

    Ooops forgot that bit.

So YHA mentality but much more luxurious.

Walked past the haymarket hotel the other day, rooms look great, perhaps look it up on tripadvisor.

    A Boutique hotel may suit.

Perhaps do a list of their needs on a bit of paper, and prioritise them, may give you a few ideas.

Another thought is if you gave a hotel some kind of prior information, is it likely/unlikely that the hotel would be responsive.

Lynz, that's fantastic, thanks so much for digging that out! I work nr Bethnal Green so it's great (this is for my brother) in one way, although they have their heart set on a traditional city centre hotel. I will investigate further, but what a brilliant find!

If anyone else has any ideas / experiences, then would love to hear them.

pleasure Sam, youll know its pretty nice around there then Victoria Park itself is one of my favourites ( i used ot live in E3)

Another thought I had if they have no luck, that this company might be able to help you. they do deal with abroad hols, but they might have some thoughts, but the above hotel is probably the most suitable, especially given they run thier own transport etc.

best of luck with it :D
