Can anyone advise me?

Hi,
I bought a phone from Eglobal UK. It turns out they are not in the Uk at all, but hey.
I could not get the phone to receive a signal. After some tooing and froing Eglobal asked me to return the phone, which I did. Now, about a month later, they are saying the phone is fine and want £80.00 for the return.
They didn't point this charge out when requesting I return the phone. The phone only cost £115.00, and I don't know if it will work if I get it back.
Any advice would be very welcome.
Thanks
Nick

If you click on the 'contact us' website it gives the address as:

    West Wing, 2/F,
    822 Lai Chi Kok Road,
    Lai Chi Kok,
    Kowloon

So clearly not uk... (always look for contact details before purchasing)

How did you pay for the phone?

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Hi All, I paid using PayPal.

Then can you not open a case for not as described in PayPal then use your return tracking to show it has been returned?

  • Do you have tracking showing it has been returned?
  • Yes, I have proof that they have it back, but they are saying that it works and that I have to pay £80.00 to get it back. I can't prove it doesn't work without getting it back and therefore paying another £80.00.

    No not really.
I had a similar problem with Overclockers (a computer online store) with a faulty Motherboard I bought from them some years ago. It had an intermittent fault that would crash it at around the 30 minute mark.

I explained the situation to them but when the got it they said there was nothing wrong so charged me an inspection fee and return postage. I didn't even get the choice as they had my card details on record, it was about £40 in total as far as I remember, so it happens even over here.
