Bought a piece of land - AP1 Form Help

I have bought a little bit of land at the side of my house just to extend the garden. All has gone through but I have been told by the council I need to complete an AP1 form to update the register.
Is this something I can complete my self or should I be using a solicitor for it?
TIA!

You can complete it yourself.

* is it freehold?
* is it registered land?
* did you pay cash (no mortgaege)?
If yes x 3, then you need
TR1
AP1
ID1

Thanks.
The land was pre registered and I have purchased a segment of that land, not the whole thing.
Yes, paid cash (well bank transfer).
The councils legal team did all of the paperwork (at my expense) and I have all the relevant documents now but they just said the only thing left for me to do is the AP1 which they can't do for me.0 -

1) You don't need TR1, you need TP1 (Transfer of Part).
2) you'll need a Plan to show wwhich bit is being sold and which bit is not included in te sale. You may need a surveyor to prepare the Plan.
3) I no longer recommend DIY!0 -
As the Op has already bought the land (and seemingly from a Council) he should already have a completed TP1 (with plan).
In terms of the AP1 you’ll need to follow the guidance on how to fill it in (and don’t forget the fee). You’ll also need to fill out an ID1 form.
I assume before your purchased the land you didn’t carry out a priority search of part in order to protect your purchase? If you did then you only have a limited amount of time to submit your application in order for it to be protected.
Also, depending how much you paid you may also need to consider completing a stamp duty return as the Land Registey may ask to see the certificate.0
