Dental Insurance

I have never received a membership number or any details after joining Tesco Free Dental (accident).

I had the courtesy call from the representative a little while after joining to discuss the plan but then nothing, I now have a reason to claim and they cannot find me on the system. They tell me that they will check, lets see how it pans out!!
Anybody else with more details or anybody made a paid claim can they advise me!

Regards

Why didn't you chase it up when you never got details?

Sometimes companies make mistakes so you need to start some sort of organised system.
This can just be a list on a piece of paper if you like, but you need to chase up things if they do not arrive as it indicates some sort of error which could (as you now know) land you in trouble.

I have an electronic personal organiser which I back up on computer but if you don't have the know how or money then a small book should be sufficient to get organised.

Unfortuntately we don't live in a perfect world so everything needs to be chceked if you don't want hassle.

I also didn't recieve my documentation in the mail.

Although they were able to locate me in the system eaisly, it took several calls and one to a team leader before the paperwork arrived. I must say, the paperword is very simple and brief - it'd be very easy for them to print out more (although I think in my case the paperwork was never sent to begin with, as opposed to lost).

    Good luck!
  • Isyloo,

Thank you for the lesson in life skills, unfortunately things do slip by, and unlike you, I am not perfect, nearly, but not quite!!
  • Thomask,

Thank you for you very nice reply unlike missy perfect. I have now found out that they hold the documentation until you claim and then send a claim form out. It is then that they authourise the claim with the records they hold. Bit dodgy but we will see. I will keep you informed,

    I'm sorry you were offended.
I never said I was perfect and I don't know why that piece of advice seems to have put a few noses out of joint.

I just operate a system which makes it much LESS likely for their to be problems.
I didn't say I was wonderful and perfect and I can't see any implication of that in my email.
There can always be issues because of royal mail strickes or delivery vehicels crashing, so it's precisely because we don't live in a perfect world that some checking is required.

Good luck with your problem :-)
  • lisyloo,

Thank you for your good wishes.

I can assure you that no noses were put out of any joints by your comments. I would also wish to make it clear that I did not quote you as saying you thought you were perfect, that was my observation. We post questions on Martins pages to be part of a community to help each other not to be judged like some silly social worker.
Try giving sensible answers to genuine posts,. instead of wasting everybodys time trying to be what you wished your were.

    Good luck
