Just change your statement to annually (say December) - then when December almost comes ask them to change the month to October so no other statments are generated til the following October then do the same.
Obviousley you gotta remember to call to change ur date or u may end up getting a whole years worth in 1!0 -
If you are on paper statemnts then the bank has to send you one every 3 months if you have a debit card.
This is because Visa has a 90 day rule for chargeback/fraudelent transactions.0 -

My account doesn't offer 'on-line statements' so I get them sent quarterly, its actually ok as I just get a thick envelope with lots of pages, I definitely wouldn't go back to monthly.
This may be an option with Barclays? I also agree that having some kind of paper trail is useful, or maybe i have watched 'The Net' with Sandra Bullock too many times.

I said that if you are on 'paper statements'.............
then you wrote that you switched off your paper statements!
If you switched them off you wouldn't get any as the bank assumes that you check your statements online.0 -

If you only get a yearly statement and a dodgy transaction went out 6 months ago you would have no hope of getting it investigated.0 -
How do you get round the fact that Visa will only entertain fraud transactions within 90 days of it going from your account/

It is still down to the customer to check there account, whether this be done online or at branch.0
