Give some details as to the issues and the timelines and someone here will be able to advise what your rights are and how to gain redress if it's applicable.
  • You will need to pay the fee, how much you need to pay depends on how much you're claiming for.

Include the cost of the court action in your claim. If you win then you'll get it back from them.
  • If you're eligible for fee remission you don't pay the fee. You submit the remission application at the same time as your claim.

If you are in GB they will be the same office / team as the EHO in your local council. Find their number and ask them to pass you across.

    Works differently in NI though.

This may be true for your council but not in mine. Theyre not even for the same council (district vs county)
  • If your local TS have a civil assistance programme (some do) then they will get in touch. It appears you have been told by CACH that this is the case? What timescale where you given? CACH can chase it up if it's past that timescale.

Yes, this is probably the place to start as things do vary between councils.

    and the mileage was wrong
You've not given any details or reason why you believe this, but have you checked the mileage against kilometers.
If a previously entered reading has been given in Km's and the odometer is subsequently switched back to miles, it gives a false impression that the vehicle has been clocked.
eg. 48,280Km. would be about 30,000Miles.

Not saying this is so in your case, just thought I'd mention it, as he does happen, and accusations of clocking have been proved wrong.

How did you pay for the car when you bought it from the dealer?

    Cash?
    Bank Transfer?
    Debit Card?
    Credit Card
Finance load taken out for the car purchase?
    Something else?
