Paid ticket and got a parking charge notice

Hi
I was wondering whether someone could help me. We stayed on an APCOA parking spot in Manchester Victoria Station. Took us 10 minutes to find a spot get the child's pram and bits and pay. We stayed for 10 minutes short of the stay we had a tocket for and left. When we left we had not overstayed.
We have returned from holiday to a parking charge notice with a photo of us leaving and exiting the car park facility in early Jan. Before we went on holiday we had the car valeted and do not have the ticket to show as evidence.
Do I have to appeal and if so looking at the MSE template it is not for people who have paid their tickets and been mistakenly fined. How can I sort this situation out???

You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

Which MSE template, don't tell us you read the awful MSE article with the interactive appeal?
It is worse than useless, sorry MSE, we have said umpteen times what the issues still are.
Go to the NEWBIES thread, top of this forum board. NO LINK, just hop there (see below). Use the FORUM template for all cases - from the sticky thread - and do NOT say who was driving.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I'm going to use the thread letter in NEWBIES. However the signage is pretty clear on the parking area. I am worried going to spend a lot of time fighting something that we shouldnt have to fight. They are asking to post a response to appeal, who posts these days! There should be a law that an email address is required by these firms!!0

At Stations and Airports, the keeper cannot be held liable. So be 'the keeper' not the driver!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
