Ppi claim old debt success

I have a PPI claim with Lloyds going through and its an old credit card. I have just realised that I never paid this balance off and it was statuary barred a while back. It isn't on my credit file so I cant be sure when it came off.
Could you advise if this is likely to be set against it? I was at one point chased by Robinson Way for the balance but I have no idea if they bought it or chased on lloyd's behalf.
If anyone has had a similar situation could you share your experience?
Many Thanks

in most cases, yes it would.
Statute barred means they cannot come after for the debt via the courts but the debt still exists. PPI redress can be set off against arrears, defaults and write offsI am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. How far can I go back with PPI? I had a loan back in the 90s from Barclays which I paid off, pretty sure it had PPI attached!0

No cut off yet. 7 years should be ok but you are getting to the point where data gets culled.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
