Is Vagex worth using to convert views into money?

The company Vagex offers a program which can be used in two ways. Either you upload your Youtube url and pay Vagex to have people watch your videos, or you can watch videos and have Vagex pay you to do so. If you are watching for payment, their software opens a tab in your web browser and opens the first youtube video. You "watch" it for 30 seconds, then the next video opens in the same window, you "watch" it for 30 seconds then you next video loads etc. For each 30 second video you watch, you get 1 credit. 25000 credits gives you the equivalent of $1. Is this worth doing for passive income, or will I be spending more in electricity to keep my laptop on to watch these videos?

If you think that just under 3½ hours of your time and PC electricity is worth as little as $1, then go ahead!

I think it's worse than that John.

    $1 = 25000 vids @ 30s. = 12500 mins = 208.33 hours = 8.7 DAYS. Hardly worth it for $1000 let alone $1.

Gives you the equivalent of $1? So what does it actually give you? 72p?

Or will they give you $1 minus currency exchange costs?

If your device uses less than 24watts and your on a low electricity tariff you maybe able to break even, but your laptop will need replacing long before you get enough to think of buying a new one.

The plan was to leave it running whilst I was out doing other things.

You need it to be running for 9 days before you make your dollar, are you going out for a long while. If your out how do you flip the videos every 30 seconds? If you do not switch videos it will probably take a month to earn your dollar, you will be better off sitting doing online surveys.

just read it again, its 1 credit for every 30s, still 9 days solid for $1, do the videos autorun after each one finishes?
