Voluntary Termination & Credit File Update

We are in the process of voluntary terminating a PCP with Mercedes, we have had a lot of issues with the car and just want it gone.
We have purchased a replacement vehicle and wondered how long it takes a credit file to update with VT marker, we have a finance deal approved and are waiting for the car to be moved from one dealer to our local dealer and should be collecting it later this week or early next week.
I'm guessing it will take at least a few weeks before credit file is updated but would hate to VT and then have issues collecting new car. We have a second car so happy to be without one if we VT now and car is collected before we get the new vehicle.

When you VT it just shows as settled on your credit file.
